~~~ When Will My CCJ Show As Satisfied? ~~~
Once you have finished paying off your County Court Judgement, the
Court will issue a Certificate of Satisfaction.
The official holder of the register of judgements is Registry Trust
Limited. They have to wait for the Court to notify them of the
Certificate of Satisfaction. Currently, it is taking about two to
four weeks.
Once they have that information they should update your records. This
information will then filter through to the Credit Reference
Agencies, usually over a period of a week or two.
If your judgement was paid with one month of issuance, then it will
be removed from your credit file altogether. If it was satisfied more
than one month after being issued, it will be marked as satisfied but
will remain in your file for six years from the original judgement date.
~~~ What Happens When an IVA Ends? ~~~
At the end of the process the Insolvency Practitioner will issue you
with a 'Statement of Completion', typically within 3 months of the
final payment. The Insolvency Practitioner will also send a copy of
this to the Insolvency Service so that they can amend their records.
So there is no need for you to attend court or even visit the
Insolvency Practitioners offices.
However, the onus is on you to send a copy of the Statement of
Completion to all the credit reference agencies which are in
operation at the time of their completion.
